ThreadRecall

Your AI tools will change.
Your thinking should not disappear with them.

ThreadRecall landing page with AI conversation fragments surrounding the message: One memory layer for all your AI tools.

I built ThreadRecall as a private, durable memory layer for conversations that would otherwise remain trapped inside individual AI tools.

Useful work now happens across a growing constellation of assistants. Each tool remembers differently, long sessions are compacted, and the thread connecting one decision to the next is easy to lose.

ThreadRecall gathers those conversations into one searchable place on the Mac, so ideas can be found, understood, and carried forward wherever the next conversation happens.

Fragmentation

The problem

Great thinking was being left behind in yesterday's window.

“Where did we decide that?”A familiar question when context is split across tools.
03

Three acts

The product model

Three quiet acts. Capture, recall, continue.

01

CAPTURE

Keep the conversation.

Bring AI conversations into a durable local archive instead of letting valuable work vanish into separate histories.

02

RECALL

Find the right thread.

Use full-text and semantic search, then narrow by tool, date, or pinned memory.

03

CONTINUE

Return context to the work.

Gather relevant memories into a focused brief that can move with you into the conversation at hand.

Local first

The principles

Your memory should be useful without becoming someone else's data.

01
Local first

No account is required. The archive stays on the Mac rather than being uploaded to a new cloud service.

02
Portable

An open format and Obsidian sync keep memories readable beyond any single interface.

03
Quiet by design

Memory appears when it can help the work continue, not as another stream of notifications demanding attention.
