Overview
OPENAI · Product launch & digital experience
Sora
A world waiting to be imagined.
Sora’s launch introduced OpenAI’s first video-generation product through an experience built to show creative possibility before explaining the technology behind it.
Sora entered a market already alive with anticipation. Remix, Recut, Storyboard, Loop, and Blend offered a degree of creative control that set the product apart, but the launch still had to make that depth understandable before asking people to invest.
As creative strategist for the page, I worked across Product, Engineering, Growth, and Go-to-Market to align the narrative, interaction design, and business objectives around one clear promise: this was not another AI tool, but a new way to make moving images.

Explorations
Early explorations
Show, don’t tell: let the work open the door to Sora’s world.
The area above the fold had to earn attention immediately. We explored interactive hero concepts, but ultimately chose a simpler and more confident approach: a living gallery of user-created films.
Like the strongest Google product stories, the experience lets the output become the proof point. Visitors encounter range, atmosphere, and possibility before they meet a list of features.
Features
Communicating key features
Turn a sophisticated creative toolkit into four memorable actions.
Introducing Sora required more than showcasing generation quality. The experience had to reveal the depth of the toolset and make each capability distinct, intuitive, and useful to filmmakers, designers, and curious creators.
Remix, Storyboard, Loop, and Blend became the rhythm of the chapter. Each feature was demonstrated through motion so users could understand what it changed, how it behaved, and where it might take an idea.
Remix
Transform an existing result through a direct creative prompt while preserving the idea’s core character.
Storyboard
Shape a sequence over time and give creators more deliberate control over narrative progression.
Loop
Create seamless repeating motion that expands the usefulness of generated footage.
Blend
Bring separate visual ideas together to discover new transitions, forms, and unexpected combinations.
Impact
